Digital loyalty cards for shops

The paper stamp card, now on your customer’s phone

Kartaak is software for cafés, restaurants and shops. It turns the paper stamp card into a digital one that customers keep in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet on their phone. They get a stamp on every visit, and a reward from the shop when the card is full.

  • Free to start
  • Works on iPhone and Android
  • Nothing for customers to download

Kartaak, in brief

What we provide, who pays us, and what we do not do.

What we provide
Online software a shop uses to design a loyalty card in its own name, give it to its customers, add a stamp on every visit, and follow its customers from a dashboard.
Who pays us
Only the business, and only if it chooses the monthly subscription over the free plan. The price is fixed, in Egyptian pounds. The shop’s customers pay us nothing and install nothing.
What is paid online
Only the monthly subscription fee, paid by the business owner by bank card. No money a customer pays a shop ever passes through us.
What Kartaak is not
Kartaak is not a bank, an e-wallet or a payment card. We hold nobody’s money and move no money for anybody. Stamps and rewards are given by a shop to its own customers to use in that shop, and cannot be cashed out or transferred.

How Kartaak works

Three steps. No new hardware, no connection to your till, and nothing for staff to learn beyond pointing a phone at a code.

  1. Design your card

Choose your colours and logo, how many stamps fill the card, and what a full card earns, such as a free drink.

  2. Your customer saves it

Put your shop’s QR code by the till. The customer scans it with their phone camera, enters their name and number, and adds the card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. No app to download, no password.

  3. Stamp every visit

Your cashier opens the scanner on any phone or tablet and scans the customer’s card, and the stamp appears on their phone straight away. When the card is full, the shop gives them their reward.

What your shop gets

Everything below is on the Free plan, except what is marked Starter.

Starter

Messages on their lock screen

Write a message once and it arrives as a notification on the phones of customers who agreed to hear from you, with no charge per message.

A customer list that builds itself

Everyone who saves your card appears in your list: when they first came, when they were last in, and how often they come.

Customers bring their friends

Every card carries an invite link, and the reward is only given once the friend actually buys something.

The golden stamp

Set the odds and the prize yourself, and the scanner announces the winner at the till.

Plain reports

How many customers came back, how often each one visits, and what the rewards cost you against that.

See what your staff give away

Every stamp is recorded against the member of staff who added it, and anything unusual is flagged for you to review.

Who it is for

Common questions

Is Kartaak a bank card or an e-wallet?

No. It is only a loyalty card, like the paper stamp card a café hands out. It holds no money and cannot be used to pay. It sits in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet the same way a boarding pass or a cinema ticket does.

Does the customer need to download an app?

No. There is no Kartaak app to download. The card is saved to Apple Wallet, which comes with every iPhone, or to Google Wallet on Android phones.

Who pays, and how much?

Only the business. The Free plan costs nothing and has no time limit, and Starter is EGP 350 a month. The shop’s customers pay nothing.

What does Kartaak keep about customers?

Their name and phone number, their date of birth if one is given, and their stamps and rewards at that shop. That data belongs to the shop, we only hold it on the shop’s behalf, and we never sell it. Marketing messages only reach customers who agreed to receive them. Privacy policy

Do I need special equipment?

No. Any smartphone or tablet with a web browser can scan customers’ cards, plus a printed sheet with your shop’s QR code.

How do I cancel?

Tell us at any time. Your plan runs to the end of the month you paid for, then the account moves to the Free plan, and your customers and their history stay as they are.
